INTRODUCTION
Family planning means controlling the number of children in a family and the spacing between their births. However, contemporary conceptions of family planning tend to place women and childbearing decisions at the center of the discussion, as the concepts of women's empowerment and reproductive autonomy have gained traction in many parts of the world. Family planning can include considering the number of children a woman wants, including deciding not to have children and what age she wants. These questions are influenced by external factors such as marital status, career considerations, financial situation, disabilities which may affect their ability to have and raise children, and many other factors. If you are sexually active, family planning may involve using contraception and other time control techniques. Other techniques commonly used include sex education, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, preconception counseling and treatment, and infertility management.

CONTRACEPTION
Contraception is a way to avoid pregnancy. Although different methods work in different ways, contraception usually prevents sperm from reaching and fertilizing an egg, i.e. pregnancy.
